GambitCon '08 : Saturday July 26-Sunday July 27 2008



On Saturday, July 26th through Sunday July 27th, the Gamer's Gambit will be hosting its first-ever GambitCon '08!

We hope this event will bring gamers from throughout the tri-state area to play and compete in the games that we enjoy at the store.

Where and When

The two-day convention will be held at The Gamer's Gambit, at 26-13 Broadway in Fair Lawn, NJ. Call us at 201-796-7377 for help with directions if you need them.

The convention hours are 11:00AM-12:00AM Saturday July 26th and Sunday July 27th.

Registration

Registration for the Con itself is free. We hope that you'll email us at gamersgambit@gmail.com to let us know you're coming and what you want to play, too.

You can also recruit other players (for events like Two-Headed Giant, the D&D Championship, or the various boardgames) on our Forums.

Events and Event Fees

Saturday: Eventide Release Celebration
  • 1:00PM Sealed Deck Tournament: Fee: $25 (1 tournament deck, 2 booster packs per player; 2 packs per player as prizes for the top 8)
  • 11:00AM League Play: Fee: $20 (1 tournament deck, 2 booster packs per player; 1 pack per player as prizes for the top 4)
  • 7:00PM Two-Headed Giant Tournament: Fee: $40/team or $20/player (1 tournament deck, 5 booster packs split between 2 players; 2 packs per player as prizes for the top 2 teams)
  • Throughout the Day: Booster Drafts: Fee: $15; 3 booster draft (S-E-E or S-S-E); prizes are 4 packs for 3-0s, 3 packs for 2-0-1s and 2 packs for 2-1s)


Sunday: D&D, Board and Card Games -- 11:00AM - 12:00AM
  • 11:00 AM D&D Championship Qualifier: Fee: $5. Qualify to play in the D&D Championship at GenCon. Top team gets a semifinal berth. $5/player to play. Characters provided.
  • 7:00 PM D&D Death Match Arena: Fee: $5. Design (bring your own) 11th level 4.0 character and kill your fellow players to advance to the final rounds. Pregens available. Prizes awarded! Details on the Deathmatch Page
  • Throughout the Day: Boardgames: Fee: $2/game. Games played and prizes awarded will be determined depending on turnout/game choice.
