Who has played which MMOG (Massive Multiplayer Online Game - I leave out the RP since they really don't)?

Past:
EverQuest - I have a love and hate for it. It did bad things to my GPA in college. I still have a friend that plays pretty hardcore. Necromancers FTW!
Dark Age of Camelot - This game kept me occupied for maybe a month and a half. I never got into the Realm combat that could take forever when I could log into CounterStrike.
EverQuest2 - It was fun for a time but the lack of endgame content staled really quickly.

Current:
Gemstone IV - This is an old game that I would leave and come back to all the time. Text based fantasy seems perfect for my overactive imagination.

Future:
Age of Conan - I'm not so sure about this. I was genuinely exicted maybe a year or two ago but now not so much.

I am currently playing WoW. It is my first and only MMOG.

I'm pretty sure WoW has an obscene number of first time and only MMOG players.

Past-
Everquest was my pride and joy, ranger and necro FTW!
Played Ultima Online for awhile but just could not take care of my fix.
World of Warcraft got 60 the first month it came out and had to quit not enough of a challenge even on a pvp server.
FFXI way to much of a grind but still a great game if you have friends to play with.
Guild Wars was great I loved the PVP action but the game got old fast for me just pvping day and night and no raid bosses = no fun
Planetside that game had so much potential but Sony did not take care of the product and it died.
RF Online - wish I never hit the setup.exe
Ragnarok Online was cool but lacked something, i think after playing all 3D games going back to a 2d is difficult.
Everquest 2 was the last one I played they have a great graphical game but I think they went to much of the WoW route and tried to be solo friendly.

Present - None

Future - Age of Conan is looking great and the necromancer is looking like the type I have been trying to find all the way back from EQ1. The guild I played majority of MMO's with will be playing that so I am gonna give it a shot and hopefully run my own army of demons.

I used to Play FFXI hardocre, I loved it. Then I got to the point where I had to choose to play only FFXI, or have a life.

Currently, I am waiting for either the La Blue Girl MMO or the Urotsukidoji online game. If those come out I'll never leave my room ^_~

Star Wars Galaxies started off great, then it was awful, and then they made it worse...

City of Heroes is still the best MMO that I ever played in terms of overall fun value. I wish I hadn't stopped to play EQ2.

Everquest 2 started off great, then they turned it into a crappy version of WoW. If I wanted to play WoW, I would have played WoW and not a crappy version of it.

I tried the Matrix online for a few hours - it wasn't really that much fun.

I am definitely looking forward to Age of Conan.

Hey! Its Jay!

I thought about the Matrix for about 5 seconds before I realized everyone was just going to make Neo clones. The branded MMOGs never seem to live up to the expectation. They typically have too limited worlds to really have enough content. And then all the fanboys are rapid.

Well LOTRO seems to be living up to the name and some. But still not my type of game.

Do you guys tend to play on RP servers or not? Personally I do - the people tend to be more interesting and friendlier.

I am a pvp fanatic hard for me to let it go. I tried RP and I just can't do it for some reason, part of me feels like a job when I am on a RP server.

Ideally, I'd like an RP PVP server, but that might be asking too much.

no really wow has them personally it depends on the game im into the lore and the world in wow so i dont like the pvp messing with that it should be on my own terms but in guild wars the only thing to do once you hit 20 and get your skills is to pvp so it works out.... lets see what happens with warhammer with the always pvp world

Warhammer in it's current form is decent at best. I'm currently in the beta and it's really not that amazing. Hopefully Mythic gets on the ball with this game by release because I'm really looking forward to Conan. Mounted combat..../drool.

**PAST**
Ultima Online (early beta through live) was there the day they killed Lord British, talk about LAG!!!
Everquest
Everquest Online Adventures (early beta through live)
Everquest 2
Dungeons and Dragons Online (beta)

##CURRENT##
Lord of the Rings Online (Closed beta, open beta and live)

Kind of getting burnt out on MMORPGs and yah I agree, few people roleplay much whether you are on an RPG server or not, they seem to mostly use those Roleplaying modes to go anonymous and be bugged less or hide the items they are wearing that everyone can get anyway, lol. Be interesting to see if the whole MMORPG phase burns out sometime in the next 5 years, I'm personally not interested in trying any of the other upcoming releases.

According to Gamestop, my pre-reserved copy of Age of Conan is available for pick-up. Servers still don't go live until next Tuesday. Money for new computer won't hit my account until Thursday, so it's kind of a moot point anyway...

Has anyone actually tried Age of Conan yet? I have the collector's edition sitting at home, waiting for my PC upgrade, and I am wondering how quickly I should spend all of my $$$$ buying computer parts in order to play it.

I still have yet to fire up this game - anybody else out there playing it yet? I've also been hankering to re-activate my city of heroes account...
